Story
Shelly the sea turtle had followed the moonlight to the ocean her whole life. It guided her back to shore when it was time to lay eggs. But one night, when she crawled up the beach, something was wrong…
The bright lights from buildings confused her, leading her away from the water. Shelly wandered toward the city, lost and exhausted. Just as she was about to give up, a kind beachgoer noticed her. Realising the problem, they turned off the lights and gently guided her back toward the waves. With renewed energy, Shelly swam into the safety of the ocean.
Weeks later, when her tiny hatchlings emerged, they too needed the moon’s light to find their way. This time, people on the beach made sure the lights stayed dim, cheering as the baby turtles safely reached the water. Watching from the waves, Shelly knew the truth: “Happy Oceans, Happy Planet!”
